Elevated on a private peninsula above white-sand beaches, this contemporary semi-cantilevered smart Tauranga home has it all. The expertly configured home is a Master Builders House of The Year 2019 Regional Supreme Winner, as well as scooping up the Resene New Home over $2 Million award. Urban Lounge Interiors worked closely with D & B Construction to deliver an undeniable sense of luxury.

the outcomes:

The suspended living area uses generous glazing to create a sense of infinity without compromising privacy. The entertainer’s kitchen spills out to alfresco living with a naturally heated lap pool and spa. Black accents, like the minimalist light fittings in the bedrooms, details in the outdoor furniture, and seating in the dining area, effectively anchor the furnishings to the exterior joinery and statement cantilever, while maintaining the spacious, open feeling of high stud ceilings and otherwise light, natural palette used throughout.

Upstairs, the sun-drenched master domain boasts harbour views, including from an opulent freestanding bath. Three further bedrooms and two more bathrooms exude comfort and elegance, with rich, jewel-toned bedlinen, and striking deep ink-blue feature walls that perfectly offset the natural timbers and pale flooring and upholstery. Noble materials add their timeless impact throughout, with continuous, slate-inspired wall coverings and flooring in the bathrooms, and subtle herringbone tiles opposite a concrete-inspired feature wallpaper in the laundry.
