Our clients wanted to renovate their family home. They had decided that rather than sell and leave an area they loved they would rather renovate and extend their existing home. Initially our Urban Lounge Interiors team were brought on to design two bathrooms that were being renovated.
However, after our initial conversations it was decided that the Urban Lounge Interiors team would also design the sitting room, main living area and master bedroom as well as choosing paint colours for the hallway and study and new carpets throughout.
The client wanted a look that was modern but wouldn’t easily date, original and reflective of their personalities. The client wanted to stay away from beige hues and to give their interior an element of fun whilst still being grown up.
Below we detail some of the key rooms completed by our interior design team. The result of this family renovation is a fresh home that not only feels connected with the interiors complementing each other, but also reflects the family.

Key design features in the bathroom include the Concrete Nation Arc washbasin in clay, freestanding Concrete Nation bathtub and the Acquario wallpaper from Cole & Son in charcoal - a real conversation starter.

As the master bedroom’s ensuite was a smaller space it was important to keep it as light and airy as possible. Marble tiles, frameless glass and soft gold tapware were employed to elevate the space.
Before the main living room renovation...
The clients owned several pieces of beautiful old furniture including a solid oak table that they had brought with them when they emigrated from England. It was important that these were incorporated into the new look without them looking at odds.
